Working with QVC: A
Conversation with Mindy Recently,
Sheila Thomas (ST) of FRP Publishing talked with Mindy Henderson (MH),
owner of Brand New Day Marketing, located in ST: Mindy, tell me a little about yourself
and how you got into the business of representing
manufacturers. MH: I worked as a National Accounts Representative and Director of Special Markets at Ingram Entertainment for 15 years. In 1999, QVC approached me and said that they needed “eyes and ears” in the marketplace to bring new products to them. After doing a little investigation, I thought, “I can do this!”…and I started Brand New Day Marketing. I am an independent sales representative. I look for products for 4 major accounts (including QVC). Basically, I shop for products that I think have potential, and I present these products to the buying groups at each of my accounts.
