Get It in Writing

The buzzword at the beginning of each New Year is “resolution.” Dictionary.com defines “resolution” as “the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.” Many of us make resolutions to lose weight, cut back on caffeine, or end some bad habit. Those resolutions don't just happen. There needs to be a plan. Click here to read how resolutions play an important role in your cookbook plan.

Telling more and selling more

Want to give online potential buyers a peek into your group's book? Do it with book reviews. Cookbookmarketplace.com offers users the opportunity to review cookbooks and recipes within them.

Sending friends, family, and organization members who have used your book to www.cookbookmarketplace.com to review the book can steer on-line book shoppers to your book. And it provides material if someone is searching for information for your book on line.

Keep the review short and useful, focusing on the book as a whole and mentioning a recipe or two. Here are a couple of examples:

"A great book for busy cooks. Tried Taco Skillet from this book (page 112) for dinner and the little ones loved it!" or "Lots of dinner-party sophisticated recipes. Served the Soy-Ginger Halibut at a dinner party recently, making a barley pilaf instead of rice pilaf. Elegant and simple."  "Super dessert chapter, with lots of cookies, including our favorite Peanut Butter Thumbprints."

Find your cookbook on www.cookbookmarketplace.com and scroll down to the review button. Click it and write your review.
